Job ready is aimed at:

- Someone recently made redundant or facing redundancy after having worked in the same job for a number of years.
Job ready is a personalised programme of support where individuals can choose from the following services:
- Skills analysis – helps you identify your skills, abilities, achievements and key strengths you need to highlight to potential employer
- CV Creation – A good CV is your gateway to getting a job interview. This service will support you to develop a professional CV that promotes what you have to offer
- Job market update – The job market it constantly changing. Our update service will help you get to grips with the latest developments and find out more about where the jobs are. It will help you find suitable vacancies including advertised posts, using the internet, using recruitment consultants and personal contacts and making direct approaches
- Interview techniques – This service will provide you with the opportunity to fully prepare for interviews and practice interview techniques via a mock interview.

Career planning
Our in-depth career planning service helps you to explore yourself and your options. Completely independent and impartial, this service supports decision making and will help you set your career goals. Aimed at:
- Career changers; or
- Someone who has recently been made redundant or is facing redundancy; or
- Individuals who are unclear of their career direction; or
- Individuals who are unhappy in their current role; or
Our individual career planning sessions will support you to develop a personalised career action plan.
The sessions will help you:
- Find out more about yourself, encouraging self-reflection on all aspects of your life
- Help you to identify and analyse the skills you have to offer
- Focus on what is important to you
- Explore the different options open to you
- Explore specific career areas open to you
- Look at yourself objectively and think about the implications of any decision you are contemplating
- Set goals.

We use a psychometric testing tool known as Morrisby Profile which helps identify career areas that are appropriate to you.
Psychometric testing is ideal for people who are unclear about their career direction or want to change career.
We use the Morrisby Profile tool which helps identify career areas that are appropriate to you, provides information on ability patterns and the sort of working environment that you are suited to.
You will be provided with a report which gives you an insight into your character. This provides you with a strong starting point for the exploration of careers options.
As part of the service you will discuss the content of the report with a qualified careers consultant who will help you discuss and follow up the suggestions made and provide advice on the career areas.
